The recent terrorist attack in Mumbai was something first of its kind given the scale of devastation and casualties. As a nation we went through a trauma that perhaps no Indian can ever come out of. It left the entire nation reeling in desolation and deep grief. There was anger amongst people and each and every one joined hand to fight against terror. So many died in vain, but not a single person has taken responsibility for the carnage. We need to mourn the dead, but we also need to ask for the answers. Terrorism is the act of unlawful violence and war. It feeds off the personal suffering by luring governments into actions that abandon hard-earned freedom of modern civilization. Terrorism brings nothing but the disaster, fear and insecurity among people. Terrorism is the display of unfounded enmity and hatred which leads to death, destruction and pain. Terrorism needs to be checked immediately. The world leaders must join towards the elimination of the feelings of hatred. Introducing stringent laws to punish those guilty of acts of terrorism is the need of the hour as this will act as a big deterrent for terrorists not to venture into such acts any more. Rooting out poverty completely within a time frame should be the vision of the policy makers because poverty is the root of terrorism. We all must be vigilant of the things around us to avoid any potential danger.
